The UK National Health Service recommends at least 150 minutes of exercise over a week, with the aim to be daily active. But there are people who do their main share of weekly exercise during the weekend. ‘Weekend Warriors’ is the term used to describe this exercise behaviour pattern. Do they still get the most important benefits of regular exercise spread out over a week?
Measuring heart rate is useful to maximise the training effectiveness of your runs and rides. However we at Nascent found a difference of 40 beats per minute between an optical sensor on the wrist and the heart rate chest strap during the same cycling training session. That seemed odd.
